The Funny Lion - El Nido Hotel

The private beach access, Papaya Beach, was a true paradise where I could enjoy snorkeling and relax without any crowds. The breakfast options were fantastic, with a good blend of local and international cuisine, setting a perfect tone for the day. The staff knew my name from day one!

Thanks for providing us with a PERFECTLY PLEASANT stay. The hotel is fairly clean and luxurious, offers marvellous and awesome location right on the beach. The property offers a great selection of food that was outstanding. Top-notch service, the breakfast is complimentary and rich. The pool area is nice.

The location was STUNNING - near to el Nido, great location, great staff, fabulous attention to detail and lovely cocktails as well as the restaurants, shops and bars. We saw Maligaya, that's within a close distance from the venue.

Just spent 5 nights at The Funny Lion and it was fantastic! The staff were super accommodating, moving us to a 4th-floor room with an ocean view. Loved the buffet breakfast and dinner with live music. Only downside was the lack of an elevator.

The hotel was modern and clean, overlooked terrace. The breakfast was rich, the check in was smooth. Clean facilities and the pool was great.

The bathroom setup was unconventional, with the sink placed in the room rather than the bathing area. While the staff offered cheerful service, the noise issues was good.

Family getaway with really good service!

I was blown away by the really good hospitality from the staff! They remembered my family's names. Especially when they delivered towels and drinks promptly after checking in. It set the tone for our stay.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but honestly, every bit of the experience was worth it.

The staff exuded warmth and friendliness. The room I stayed in was spacious with a really comfortable bed, perfect for relaxation after a long day. Access to the private beach was a delight, and I thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards available for use. The serene pool had an inviting view that added to the overall enjoyment of my stay.

The noise from the main street outside often disturbed my mornings, making it challenging to rest fully.

The hotel offered a really good breakfast buffet each morning, and the clean, well-maintained rooms. The pool area next to the bar was the perfect spot for relaxation, especially during happy hour with its great drink specials.

While the hotel had many activities, I would have enjoyed more evening entertainment options.

There were minor inconveniences, such as occasionally limited evening entertainment and minor maintenance issues within the facilities that could use some attention to enhance the visitor experience.

This hotel boasts an unbeatable location just a pleasant walk from Weston Park Museum, offers a varied complimentary breakfast, and has excellent staff.
